Max Orido (born January 15, 1969) is a retired Japanese professional racing driver and team owner. He began his racing career in 1986, competing in various championships before making his debut in the Japanese Touring Car Championship in 1990. In 1993, he won his first championship in the Japanese Formula Three Championship. He then moved on to compete in several other international series such as the JGTC/Super GT, American Le Mans Series, and World Touring Car Championship.
Max Orido is best known for his success in Super GT, where he competed for over 20 years and won multiple races, including the prestigious Suzuka 1000km in 1996, 2005, and 2007. He also established his own team, Max Orido Racing, in 2007, which competed in various categories such as Super GT and Formula Nippon.
After retiring from professional racing in 2018, Orido became a driving instructor and established the Max Orido Driving Academy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Additionally, he continues to participate in motorsport events as a guest driver and commentator.
